I have been a firefighter in Mishawaka for 21 years. I have been coming up to Ludington since I was a kid. Earliest I remember about 7 or 8 years old. My grandparents have a cottage on the North Bayou way in the back on Duneview Dr. almost to the corner of Lincoln. My Grandpa taught me how to fish up there, I loved it and am still fishing every chance I get. The town of Ludington is AWESOME!!!! Love going to the State Park, the beach, sand dunes, touring the lighthouses, watching the Badger set sail, fishing Hamlin Lake, eating at Chuck Wagon (thanks, Rick & Renee!!), House of Flavors, Kilwin's, going to Manistee, Pentwater, Silver Beach, & Traverse City, watching sunsets. We do the same things every year and never seem to get tired of it. Maybe that's why we bought some land in Hamlin Lake Estates. On the South-West corner of Sassafrass & Tamarack in 2006. Plus my brother and his family have a spot in the North Bayou Trailer Park, a half mile away from our property. We usually overlap vacation time up there and always have a great time with them.
