I know that there are lovers and haters of the blu moon ... but let's get real - even if you don't appreciate coffee, the ATMOSPHERE in The Blu Moon is completely unique and totally original.
I'm just curious at to how many blu mooners we have out there ... ANYONE?!
its a shame so many of us are in a hurry. "i need this now", "how long is the wait", "is my table ready". i have worked in restaurants for almost fifteen years and it never seems to amaze me that when some one walks into a busy place these are the first things that come out of their mouths. here's a tip if you have to wait for your table you are going to have to wait for food, its just how things work. if you're in a hurry call ahead and get it to go; or go to one of the many fast food wastelands we have. or when you go out to eat SLOW DOWN, have a cup of coffee and RELAX. i know when i go out to eat i like to enjoy myself and take in the atmosphere. i might even go just to have a conversation with the people i'm with; not on my cell. so hang up, sit down, stop giving that poor waitress a hard time about how long your food is taking and relax, it will do your blood pressure wonders.
I work in a service industry as well and know better than to expect fast food service in a new business such as the Blu Moon. I was not in a rush but after waiting 20 minutes to get my food (a simple salad) I felt the need to post my experience. Good luck to the Blu Moon.
I'm definitely a Blu Moonie! If you haven't tried it yet, they make a coffee drink called a Creme Brulee, that is out of this world! Put that in front of me with any of their sandwiches and my day just got happy! The food, the staff, the Cunic's and the flair! They are the direct opposite of "generic" and I applaud and support that!
I am a Blue Mooner for life. I've eaten there twice when I've been in town from South Carolina. There isn't a restaurant like it in the 1000 mile drive between HHI and Ludington. The food is delicious, wait staff is extremely friendly, and the owners are awesome. If you've yet to visit, you're missing out. Can't wait to see the Cunics the next time i'm in Michigan. Love you all!!!!
