The blu moon sells there just plain black coffee for $2.00 everyday, all year long. And let me tell you it's GOOD coffee :D The latte's are only $2.75 - definately under $3.00 !!

I think a smaller downtown location would have served them well also. I'm not a coffee drinker so it makes no never mind to me, but the thread about taste and aroma is interesting.

The downtown establishments also have good coffee. However for us early risers they don't open early enough to grab a cup on the way to work or to a horse show. For those who don't want to spend the gas money to drive out to Starbucks, the reverse is true for those of us who don't want to drive into town.

I have to admit that when it comes to lattes I am a frequent flyer at Starbucks and Hotte Latte. I am always running kids here and there so it is not out of my way to drive through. But for just a regular cup of coffee I still think the Old Hamlin has the best. ;)

I say let Starbucks go... I'm not a coffee snob but my brother Terry is. He roasts his own beans, so if I want a 'good' cup of coffee I go to him. Any other day I go to northside market in the morning and say hello to mother Teresa. The coffee there is fine and it's EIGHTY CENTS.

Whats wrong with the Little coffee hut by Mancino's? Its right in the middle for eveyone, and it's LOCALLY owned.

yah that little coffee place is the Hotte Latte ( don't know if I spelled it right) and they are Great! And the owners are really nice!!

The "best" cup of dark coffee is subjective. Have you tried the coffee at the Bookmark?

Okay all you coffee drinkers. Get out and vote, look left here and select your favorite brew. Not being a coffee drinker myself, I took names from the thread. The order is random and if I forgot some, select other and put your favorite in. I mean you can get coffee anywhere, so I couldn't put them ALL in.

Hotte latte is inconsistant.. depending on who their owners are this week is what you will get! I like the idea of getting coffee from a local owner but a good cup of coffee at a decent speed is essential in the am. The Blu moon is good, so time consuming! Now, if they had a few more workers there and you could get a latte in under 5 minutes it may be a contender.
