Best new business rumor?

When I first came to Ludington in 1997 it was rumored that an Olive Garden and a Red Lobster were coming to town. That decade, and century, passed and the only big chain restaurant that made it to town was Applebees. Even this spring a co-worker swore she knew the plumber that had been hired to do plumbing for one of those two restaurants. What's the best rumor you've heard about businesses coming to town? Hotels downtown?

there are drug dealers EVERYWHERE but they cannot survive if there are not people who buy the drugs from them.educate your children, report the information, take a stand and dont stand for it. perhaps even ............start your own discussion on the topic if you are that fired up about it.Your right something should be done. a noble cause. Is there a dare program at our schools in ludington? is there a drug education course at the local high school? Crime stoppers? Community watch? witness protection program?

i agree with mary about starting your own discussion about it.drug dealers don't really fit into the convo about new business rumors, unless i missed something. call the police.

ever think you're assumptions are WRONG and that's why the authorities have done nothing about it? how would you know they're selling for sure unless you've bought from them yourself?

Do you realize that the State Police or the Sheriff's Dept. has jurisdiction over Ludington also. LPD is not the only police dept. in Mason County.

the coffee at Starbucks is LESS THAN the Ble Moon!

Well as we all know Starbucks is closing so maybe your prediction is right..
However, do you think that the economy can handle a $8 sandwich from Quiznos?

Reply to This

I LOVE startbucks...........but, not the right place for it. My husband would love a quiznos :) He always says subway doesnt put enough meat on the sandwiches. I think most people like to try new things, good things, I am not too sure about the 8$$ part. Depends on how good that sandwich is too. I still think the batting cages are the way to go.

yes. we spend $8 a sandwich at our three local subways...

Ludington, is the type of town with the Good "Ol" BOY system. You have to know someone that knows someone, to be able to make it in owning a Business. All it would take would be someone big in Town to say, I think we need this business or that business here, and BANG ludington would have it. Either it would be a good idea or not, but ludington would have it. What Ludington needs is a make-over with new people in charge. maybe then will Ludington change.
