Letterboxing

If you like the hike and be outdoors, check out letterboxing.org. It's added fun to the beautiful walks in the statepark here in Ludington. Letterboxing happens all over North America though, so it's added fun when you travel too! :) It really opened me up to the trails back in the State Park, before letterboxing, I'd never walked them. Check it out!

Great fun, the kids feel like they are in National Treasure (movie) and we all get some exercise....just be sure to be discreet when finding the boxes so others don't "happen" upon them. When you get to the site, it will give you directions and how to find the hidden box. Then when you find it you leave a note and put it back for the next person to find it. Great for kids and fun to learn the area too.

It is a great way for my daughter and I to spend some time enjoying the outdoors. If you like letterboxing, check out geocaching. It's very similar but you do need a gps to located the caches.; ▶ Reply to This
