It cannot fire and has been disabled for a few years. The ramrod is stuck in the barrel so it cannot fire. What is the best way to dispose of it? Can I just disassemble it and send it out with the trash over a couple week period?

I just saw Jim Pinkerton's letter in the LDN Open Forum. I wanted to let you know that I DO support the Sheriff's Department. Contrary to what Jim stated, I do not have a "personal agenda" and am not "singling out" the department. I feel that the department does a VERY effective job and I fully support them. I just recently met an officer who assisted my daughter with a problem that she was having. His response to her call for assistance was very prompt. His work as a deputy is highly commendable.

My statement in the LDN was only that due to the current economic state, budget cuts need to be made. I feel that there could be some cuts done somewhere. The county could work WITH the deparment to develop an effective budgeting strategy. I feel that there could be cuts made, and we could still have a very effective department.
